I like how whenever AFO speaks about anything concerning integrity, you feel it in your bones that this man is lying through his teeth and absolutely cannot be trusted.

That amused tone he uses is deliciously foreboading.

The story only depicted AFO as one dimensional "Pure Evil" that we can easily hate, while other villains around him are mostly villain of circumstance.
Midoriya is depicted as one dimensional "Pure Good" but with a lot of flaws, while heroes around him struggles to be "selflessly good" either from selfish desire or circumstance.
But still, that's what I liked from BNHA overall. It deconstructs Midoriya as "Pure Good" until how it falls down on him (Plot of Dark Hero Arc),
and later AFO as "Pure Evil" and how it starts falling down around him (we will see that later).

The thing I really like about all for one and the way Horikoshi portrays him is that no matter what happens evil will find it's way to face good, it's like a plague that you can't get rid of, he's really the symbol of evilness incarnate

AFO really created a monster and then tried to control it. He specifically put himself in the role of the benefactor ("fail as many times as you like, I'm here to help you", etc) and then tried to take control once Shigaraki had finally come into his own and started having his own desires, his own ideals, his own leadership. If his plan was to control Shigaraki all along, he didn't keep a tight enough grip on him, so of course Shigaraki is going to push back on this level of intrusion.

This really reminds me of Valkorian from Old Republic. Except I can appreciate All For One cutting the bullshit and making it clear he’s taking his successor’s body

The sad thing is he’s still a better father than shigi’s actual dad.

I genuinely believe that, five years from now, people will look back on My Hero Academia and wonder: "What went wrong? The series was so strong for so long; why was the final part such a disappointment?" I would just point to the exact moment All for One returned and say, "That's the answer." The decision to bring back All for One and have him hijack Shigaraki's role as the main villain is the source of most of the final arcs' problems.
