FILM DESCRIPTION:
A brutal mugging leaves Grey Trace paralyzed in the hospital and his beloved wife dead. A billionaire inventor soon offers Trace a cure -- an artificial intelligence implant called STEM that will enhance his body. Now able to walk, Grey finds that he also has superhuman strength and agility -- skills he uses to seek revenge against the thugs who destroyed his life.

What I love about this ending is that it's emotionally unsatisfying, but both thematically and plot-wise it's perhaps the most perfect ending imaginable. I literally almost got up and cheered when the movie ended in the theater, simply due to the sheer balls of ending a movie this way and the perfection of the final moments' execution.

This scene was masterpiece, same as soundtrack, steem actually wasnt soo bad, his nature was terrfying but he decided to give happines to guy who helped him a lot to realize his plans. I belive our future will look like that.

Upgrade 2: A commentary on living in a simulated reality when Grey is in his imaginary world he starts having weird dreams which are actually moments in his original body that Stem has taken over. He slowly begins to take over his mind again and stops the evil experiments that Stem is doing on people, but Grey has to decide whether to come back to reality or go back go to his wife in his fake world.

Eventually in the future when Grey is too old, STEM is going to have to find a new host. That means after decades of living in a dream world, Grey is finally going to awake in the future with no idea where he is, how he got there, or what has happened, and realize he's now an old man with only a few hours left to live.

That scene was so powerful omg. When his mind pulled the trigger it over for him and he unknowingly gave stem complete control. Only way a sequel would happen is if he's trying to fight stem for control back to his body but at this point, stem already took control over his life. Killed his family and all

In a strange way he kind of got a happy ending. He will going on living his life with this wife, while the rest of humanity is most likely being destroyed by stem.
