As a romanian, whose football clubs always plays prelimanry rounds, it is shocking knowing that there are people that didn't know this 4 rounds of the competition existed

The preliminary qualifying round has been discontinued from season 2024/25 and those champions now start in the first qualifying round.

Good video but it s two countries with 5 spots not 1 (and this is specifically the best two performing countries within the last season so it can change quickly between the top 4 countries), France (5th association) is actually closer to Netherlands (6th) and Portugal (7th) than Germany (4th) so it is Italy that will be in the top 4 not France and they did get rid of the preliminary round starting this year, those teams now join Q1 as well. I d know, my team (FCSB of Romania, formerly Steaua) literally faced Virtus, the San Marino champs and beat them 11-1 (fun fact:the first leg was 7-1 exactly 10 years and one day after Brazil-Germany), now we have drawn to Israeli side Maccabi Tel Aviv 1-1 at home despite them having like 5 players out for the game (thanks Olympics and that one player beefing with staff over being allowed to leave) so we ll see what happens. Regardless, Sparta Prague in Q3 will probably be a step too far, we were really unlucky with the draw there, could have gotten APOEL or Ludogorets instead but it is what it is

Too much jumping back and forth explaining it.
