I think people really underestimate how much this new format will help bring out dark horses in the race. Previously you almost always knew the top 2 teams in a group. Now with the home and away games set, we will definately see some upsets. For example, let's take that Barcelona Red Star game they mentioned. Of course Barcelona is an entire class above Red Star, but it's being played in Belgrade and Red Star know they are the underdogs. Barcelona isn't the same team it was before, they don't have a legend like Messi anymore. Can they really comfortably think that they can go to Belgrade and not risk loosing any points? All the pot 3 and pot 4 teams will be desperate to get any points for that play off spot. There is a reason they say a cornered animal is the most dangerous one.

8:41 This guy knows nothing. Red Star are still the best in Eastern Europe. Liverpool, runners up in 2018, lost to first time participants, in Belgrade and Red Star was the only team to beat Liverpool at Anfield in ECC as well. There’s history there and very possible for Red Star to win.

First question was who’ll get the lucky picks from all pots. Villa definitely won that as the only major sides they play (Bayern and Juve) are at home and weaker than ever before.

Second question is when do they play these games. If the bigger games come on MD6, 7, 8, then if you win against smaller teams, you can probably be assured of qualification before tough games. Who’ll be lucky?
