Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

You know, until I started watching your channel I had no idea the skill level it took to be a really thought it was as simple as dig a hole and plant a watching your videos and others I now think of farmers in the same category as engineers and have to be a little of both today in the farming world...thanks for the education Zach.

I'm in Iowa in a tractor in the middle of a field planting corn filming for my YouTube channel watching a Minnesotan plant corn on YouTube ...if that doesn't say that 2020 nothing does.

“I want it to turn off a foot before my end

Slightly more accurate than my “yank everything out of the ground soon as the front tires get to the Thirr ...., fourth row...., and one Mississippi’s after I cross the last end row heading not by a whole once I get in my grove I’m an accurate booger LOL.

My grandfather was born (1897) and raised in Pembina County, North Dakota. He planted with a horse growing up. That old MM would have been heaven to him.

I talked to various family members. You should have 5 new subscribers. One of my sisters said she is amazed at the amount of work takes and that family farms are under appreciated.

Great video! My dad was a vocational agriculture teacher for many years would have love to have seen this video. He is gone now, but, he would never have even imagined planting corn at 10 mph. He thought if you were going 5 mph you were flying across the field. Thank you for sharing. I really enjoyed watching this equipment and you in the field.

Yea there is a lot to farming than driving a tractor. That's why I love watching your channel learning more about farming and what it takes. Thank you

It is so interesting to hear you explain the farming processes where soil quality, crop residual usages and all the other things that the uneducated public has no idea that you not only need to know but USE, and help to improve your farm. You and your crew are so fun to follow

Gee, I think I'd be lost on a tractor now with all this computer stuff, I'm from old school farming, you really do make these video's fun and interesting to watch. Thanks.

I am from the Netherlands and I watch all of your videos on YouTube. And I must say, it is great to see someone like you working the fields like you do. I never realized that the equipment you use, is so complicated. I have been driving tractors myself but they were much more simple. Keep posting your videos and I will keep watching them. And all the best to you and your family.

Zack when you say there is no substitute for manually checking the seed placement, the Japanese call that "go and see" their term for that is Genchi Genbutsu or Genchi for short.

The amount of technology that has been incorporated into the planting process is unbelievable. Also to know what has to be done to use the technology is another process. Well done.

Thanks for the education, Zach. The technology is mind blowing for an old farmer.

Zach, I remember as a kid the smell of the dirt when we fired up the planter in the spring.  An everlasting memory.  Thanks for sharing.  What you do educates everyone who follows you.  Great Job
