PoE passthrough is awesome. Don't need the switch nor the "in-wall" design but I guess if we're only going to have one PoE passthrough access point it should be one that has most features ticked...except for the price point.

I've been running the InWall since the first version with the two ports coming out the front. Overall pretty happy however out of the 5 locations in my house I have had 3 fail, both the UAP-AC-IW and UAP-IW-HD. I'm currently trying out 2 Mesh 6. I think I can mount it to a metal single gang block off plate if I want to keep it out of site and cord free.

Would the U6-IW be something you'd use for individual bedrooms, or would you use a U6 Lite that can cover both rooms be the better option?

I use in wall everywhere in my home. I have Ethernet in the walls so it’s perfect. Especially behind the TV

I am wondering if they changed to an aluminum backplate to reduce RF into the room behind it. This might help with deployments in hotels and offices...

Great overview. Have you used the UBB bridge? I was wondering if the U6-IW will work on the remote side of the UBB with a Dream Machine on the primary side UBB. I was thinking of powering the U6 with a PoE+ injector and the UBB with port 1. Do you have any experience with this configuration?

Even not prepared for outdoor usage, I’m really tempted in install one in place of my old doorbell. Or a covered place so I think that maybe only covering the bottom Ethernet ports should be ok? :P

I really like these In-Wall APs but for some reason with the new U6 it will not “lock” into the mounting bracket. Not sure why. I liked how the In-wall HD that screwed into the back plate.
