This new motovlog is about the topic of ATGATT (All The Gear All The Time). Should I wear gear? Should I bother? Do you really need to bother with bike safety gear? What is biker ATGATT? What is a squid motorcycle rider? Do squids taste good or are they chewy? Are they seafood or not?

Please comment down below on how you feel about ATGATT, consider subscribing to my motovlog channel, ride safe and thanks for watching my motovlog!

ABOUT ME:
My name is Mengy and this is my motovlogging channel, Moto Mengy. I plan to upload a Goldwing moto vlog every Sunday. I ride a 2018 Honda Goldwing DCT Tour but I rode Harley Davidson's for 25+ years before. I'm motovlogging with a GoPro Hero 8 Black mounted to a Bell Mag 9 open face helmet, no external mic! To me riding is wind therapy.

My goal for the channel is to motovlog Pennsylvania country roads while also motovlog exploring around America. I'll also talk about biker topics and such, probably test ride a few other motorcycles, and will definitely get lost and accidentally wind up on unpaved roads along the way.

Please SUBSCRIBE if you like my channel and LIKE any videos you enjoy! Thanks!!!

I just switched to ATGATT, got a nice klim setup, so I'm hoping it protects me from the sun and the road! good stuff bud

I have a mesh Klim Induction jacket living in FL and I recommend it. Flows a ton of air 👍

Mengy, I have a suggestion a jacket. The Tourmaster Air Intake series that does a fantastic job of keeping you warm down to 30 degrees and it flows air through the jacket even when its 100 degrees. It also comes with a rain liner so no need for an extra rain jacket. They have armor in the elbows, shoulders and back. I've worn one for about 12 years now and they are fantastic. Talk about your helmet a little more. How well does it vent? Getting too hot can be a real problem while on a ride. Thanks.

Helmet and riding boots 100% of the time but just Jean's and T-shirt most times. 🤦‍♂️ I know I should wear more. I have a nice mesh summer jacket I will try to wear more often this season.

Great topic Mengy.

You said it in the vid, "the older I As with me, the older I get, the more ATGATT I get. I have fine tuned my setup to a point where I am very comfortable and as protected as possible.

Here is a Ride'n w Rick tip. For those blazing hot summer days where say, wearing a Klim Latitude jacket is just going to be overwhelming to have on, I opt for my Bohn Body Armor instead. Fantastic product which has back, shoulder, and elbow/forearm armor in a mesh shell.

Keep up the great vids my man, I am am slowly but surely coming out of hibernation.

Check out Bohn Body Armor shirts...super cool even in 90+ degrees. Also like my Olympia riding pants...kevlar and mesh...I wear shorts or jeans under them and I can take them on/off easily. Yes, I'm ATGATT and I've found ways to do it comfortably. 👍🏍️✌️

No ATGATT here. I have been reasonable about gear but I'm not there yet. I know what you mean about riding pants and I've been looking at riding jeans myself. I still work and that the majority of my riding is back and forth to the job but soon retirement will give me more time for riding and even a greater need for gear. Ride safe

Hi Mengy, I just found your channel a few days ago, and subbed. I live near Philadelphia and like to ride a lot of the same type of roads, as you. When I started riding on the road, I was 17. I thought nothing about riding in shorts, flip flops and a tank top. Over the past 42 years, my gear has gotten better and I wear it all the time. I recently purchased some pants and boots from Klim, and have to say i'm pretty impressed. now I'm considering a new jacket and the Klim Lattitude is on my radar. Stay safe out there, see you on the road! Rich S.

Shoei neo tech II helmet, Klim or Revit jacket, first gear riding pants, gloves, motorcycle boots.
All the time. Gotta do a mesh jacket and pants in the summer. Each to his own, ride safe and enjoy. 😃

I'm not ATTGAT but I love my Aerostich gear. I find both my Darien Jacket and my Roadcrafter R3 to be more comfy and cooler in the summer that all of the mesh gear I've had before. I always wear moisture wicking clothes underneath my Stich instead of sweaty sticky cotton. 👍👍

No question. All gear all the time Double M. You can easily drop your bike slow practicing in a parking lot. Fracture a skull, break an ankle, wrist or arm. Harley Davidson riders as you describe are not safety examples but are image consultants. Serious touring Motorcyclists typically have a pretty big safety picture and will use whatever technology they feel is needed. It’s not cool to be injured from a manageable incident. @#$& happens. Gear up or go home. For me, every time I roll out it’s simple. ATGAT. My Shoei RF1400, Daytona Road Stars, Klim Latitude pants and jacket and Lee Parks gloves. Life’s short. Just buy the bike and then ATGAT. Great content Mengy. Glad you brought it up. ATGAT baby! Ride safe and ride often.

I ride in flip flops and my G string but my G string is a Harley Kevlar model, so safety first 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️😂😂

I absolutely love my Tourmaster Transition touring jacket.. Extremely warm in winter and has a removable liner for warmer times in NJ I haven’t used it in the Summer time yet.

Yeah, I'm ATGATT. Kinda made a deal with the wife when I got back into riding that I would wear the gear. I didn't used to be though.

Always ATGATT, there are a lot of good products reasonably priced for every season, that are comfortable. Dress for the season. I am almost 66 years old and have seen the difference between a properly dressed rider and one that is not in an accident. It is always your choice, but you cannot ride if you are crippled or dead. I choose to do the best I can to live and ride another day.
By the way, I am a native of your area in PA and moved to SD in 2012. I recognize the roads you are on. Good memories. Keep the faith!

I wear most of my full riding gear at all times. I can't even imagine riding without them. But last year for 2 months when I rode in my vest I have to say I loved it.

i drive according to my needs - higher speeds, more efficient defenses, a closed helmet, a city with simpler fuses, a loose helmet, while everyday fuses are available - the choice is wide and I make the choice based on circumstances, but I always wear a helmet.

Yeah I’m bad about this when I had my Can Am. Now I purchased a Harley and man I can’t believe how bad I’ve become. But I try to wear atgatt some of the times. I have Reax summer riding gear check it out it’s pretty good.

Ok I have one very serious question about gear. That cup holder, holding your freshly brewed coffee. With my full face helmet, they are impossible to use! Can't drink!
