Morrowind - Killing Gaenor [No Cheats / No Console Codes]

Just me killing Gaenor in Mournhold. I used a self-made daedric shortsword with an "decrease luck" spell on it I made out of a Grand Soulgem with an Golden Saint in it. As you can see Gaenor reflects a lot of the spells you are trying to cast onto him so basically I drain our both, Gaenor's and my luck, to "0" (at least I hope so) making him hitable. It's known that he has so much luck (his stat) that he is not really hitable. So I guess I finnally did it. This is my first-kill of Gaenor. Hope you liked it!

I killed him via attrition and Greater bone walkers. his armor broke, his sword broke, and he had no weapon to fight off ghosts with. it was amazing

I killed Gaenor with a level 30 character in less than a minute
> train my character to alchemy lvl 50 or so, just enough so I wouldn´t fail potions
> steal a lot of masrmerrow from a farm near Pelagiad
> steal a lot of saltrice from Mornhoulds basements
> make 20 restore health potions
> buy, find, steal all beverages that fortify strength I could find
> more or less 22 mazte, shein and such
> drink everything at once
> obliterate his ass with sunder with character fortified over 800 on strength

he was dead in 10 seconds, was the most amusing thing I did this week.

Amazing. And its the German version of Gaenor. He is 82% more efficient!

He is known as the hardest NPC to beat in the game (he is lvl 60) and it may look like he is not meant to be killed but he attacks you while you are approaching him. So i guess it's an enemy and a good challenge.

at level 71, I could barely fight for 20 minutes before realising it's impossible to do consistent damage with my build. I had started the character with Luck and Endurance favoured attributes. This video is awesome, great content! Danke

It's sad, I over leveled myself prior to taking on Gaenor due to hearing how tough he is. But then with a daedric warhammer he became a lot easier.

Gaenor was anti-mage type boss with luck 770 and other stat above 100, He has both resist magicka and reflect spell 80 to 100 mak him take less damge or reflect most of spell

What if everyone in the entire city went for him? I wonder if Gaenor's luck would save him, despite being stupidly outnumbered.

Swords fights in fantasy: lots of jumping, epic moves, Swords clashing, dramatic ending.

Swords fights in Real life:

I killed Gaenor level 20 battlemage
-acquire mantle of woe (5x magic beotches)
-acquire every 'summon' spell in the book
-start text box, what's that behind me? AN ARMY
-Golden saints dropping like flies; does it takes less than 90 magicka to cast, NOT WORTH IT
-Let Gaenor deal with my legions, run out of MY 599 MAGICKA? Take off mantle, pop some drank
-laugh at his corpse, discard 5 empty magicka bottles
-Strut with my new ebony kicks (lol nvm jk fem Argonian)

I just used hand to hand, about 2 punches he's knocked out. Took about 10 minutes to kill him cause his armor made him so strong when he was just laying there. I miss this game!! I knocked out vivic in 3 punches. Hand to hand was way to over powered 😅

I remember this fight. My strategy was to use weapon destruction spells until his sword broke. Then I targeted his shield, and then his armor. In the process, I managed to break all my own equipment with reflected spells, so I had to go repair it. But then I came back, and chipped away his health with a daedric claymore and hit-and-run tactics. (Boots of Blinding Speed to zip in and out of range at absurd speed, with Cuirass of the Savior's Hide pre-equipped to mitigate the blindness. I had something else providing regeneration, so I could play keep-away until I healed, and then run back in.) Even though he still had that absurd luck, he was much easier to deal with once he was naked and unarmed.

Playing my first playthrough of Morrowind, fought this guy and beat him and had to see what his deal was. I'm glad to see that other people had as much trouble as me with this random beggar lol.

My trick was the use of Fist Succ (custom spell that drains fatigue) then unarmed to stun-lock him. While he's on the ground, pull out the sword and wail on him. When he gets up, unarmed until he's stunned again, rinse and repeat. This is a very tough enemy to beat in a straight fight, but you handled him very well.

I was level 17-18 when I killed him without potions. Just restoration spell and King's Oath. The trick is go near the door between the Temple and the Palace courtyard. Fight him then when you're low, just turn quickly and go back to the palace courtyard. Since he can't follow just restore your health with a spell. Rinse and repeat. But if you want just use a bunch of alcohols that increase your strength. Since they stack, he's gonna die in a few hits.

I first met his character when massively underleveled not understanding entirely how Morrowind works, so now I'm scared to go back knowing that he's waiting to kill me

I ended up using all my health potions fighting him. At least I got a nice set of armor from him...

Tough guy. After few tries I used scroll of roasting and a hellfire ring i had. Rip unique scroll but my agility guy couldn't do much without using exploits or rng forever so this was the most clean and efficient way for me

one of us will find his death here and I will not be the one. Man I missed those lines. Real nostalgia

Honestly if you could somehow beat him earlygame(which would be extremely hard) it would be a great way to get very strong gear without ruining quests or being an ass.

But he is essentially the first incarnation of a reccuring thing in elder scrolls called the ebony warrior
Strong warrior always clad in ebony really good fights most of the time.
Skyrims one is obvious but oblivion's is umbra.
