Horror films featuring Mickey Mouse set to be released

Two horror films featuring the iconic character of Mickey Mouse are set to be released.

This comes just days after Disney’s copyright expired on Steamboat Willie, with the 1928 depiction of Mickey Mouse entering the public domain after 95 years.

The first horror film, titled ‘Mickey’s Mouse Trap’ claims to be the first-ever live-action Mickey Mouse horror film.

The film was shot and edited in 2023, waiting for the character to enter the public domain before release.

A second untitled film is set to begin production later in 2024.

Disney deserves to lose its rights on its IPs, given just how horrible they are as a company and all the evil they’ve done over the years. Their IPs need to be public domains since all of their most iconic animated films are basically their retellings of classic old fairytales which are public domains. So all the upcoming horror films, games, and other stuff with Mickey in it are perfection

Dreamworks for instance needs to make Mickey the main villain in Shrek 5 or something
