My sump pump died and I replaced it with a new one. The installation was actually easier than I thought. It literally took me 20 minutes. But I did make sure to buy the same pump just to make sure it would fit just like the old one.

I watched both the vids. Thanks. The guy I bought from had a second pump installed for drainage under the basement floor.
It runs maybe once a summer after a major rainfall. Very very noisy. I’m reluctant to replace the pump itself since even though it’s old it’s had hardly any use. My current thinking is to add the quiet check valve and see if that does the trick. I figure that if it doesn’t, I can still reuse the quiet valve. Sound like a plan?
