Sichuan Style Spicy Pork Belly (Chinese Style Cooking Recipe)
Welcome to Xiao's Kitchen. My name is Xiao Wei, ever since my Mother taught me how to cook at an early age, I have always had a strong passion for Cooking. My family still live in Inner Mongolia in the northern part of China, where I visit each year and pick-up new Asian/Chinese recipes.
Ingredients:
500g Belly Pork
1 Red Pepper
1 Green Pepper
2 Spring Onions
1 Tsp Chilli Flakes
4 Cloves Garlic
20g Ginger
1 Tbsp Yellow Bean Sauce
1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
½ Tsp Ground Red Pepper
20ml Stock
Salt to Taste
Method:
1. Boil the belly pork for 30 minutes in a pan. Remove from pan and cool
2. Cut chillis into 0.5cm slices
3. Cut spring onions into 3cm in length
4. Thinly slice garlic and finely chop the ginger
5. Thinly slice the belly pork
6. Heat 2 Tbsp oil in the wok, add ginger, garlic and ground red pepper. Fry for few seconds
7. Add the pork slices and spring onions. Stir-fry for 2 minutes
8. Add peppers and soy sauce. Stir-fry for a minute
9. Add the bean sauce and chilli flakes
10. Add stock and stir-fry for a minute
11. Add salt to your taste and stir. Transfer to a dish and serve
