A friend and I were at school one day when they were serving "spooky" dishes. One of them was roasted crickets. My friend and I both dared each other to eat a cricket so we counted to 3 and took a bite. We were both surprised by how... not bad it was. It was a little bland, probably could have used a little seasoning or something, but they actually would go really well with hummus or some kind of dip. We kept eating them because they were the best-tasting thing there, lol.

I like how the most improbable part of the food crisis as portrayed in Blade Runner 2049 is that they eat the bugs whole, when in reality they would likely be processed to separate the protein food source (and would probably be processed into a nutrient bar or paste) from other parts that would be used for things like food dye, preservatives and edible hardening compounds.
