.... honestly, I think we all knew the American Dream was fake, or flawed, but... not this flawed, and not this catastrophic. The American Dream is a nightmare that helps the upper class forget that poverty occurs, or even help them not feel guilty because “those lazy bums can make it out of poverty on their own”! It’s a bloody disaster!

A major problem with these comments is assuming poor people are lazy and don't want to put in the work. However, there a tons of factors I encourage people to think about. Just because you did it doesn't mean we all can. I'm in college right now and I worked my way up from community college, but I have opportunities and privileges others don't.
