i believe is like this D means diesel engine and 4D means 4th generation direct injection

I've got a 2019 Prado with the 1GD in it and I haven't noticed any delay when taking off from a standing start.
The issue I do have, and I would love someone to tell me what it is and how to fix it, when cruising at a constant speed, say 60kmh, it feels like it has a misfire, stuttering. It's annoying as all ****. Seems to have occurred after the 40K service. Wasn't doing it before...

I am looking at a 2005 Landcruiser 80 series that the previous owner put a V12 in, what are the cons on this. I have no clue what automatic gearbox he has put in. The V12 is a V12 from Toyota please advice

The engine suddenly loosing rev from 60 mph to 50mph my 2004 3 door, with only 92000 on the engine suddenly developed this action in the 20th year, my mechanic concluded that initially it was a sensor unit on the fuel pump, which was controlling the ratio of diesel to air mix and intake. Having used three different obd units, all gave the same reading fuel pump fault, turned out it is a lead running to the injectors, either a red or blue in colour, it meant the engine management light kept lighting on a very regular basis, after Xmas it only came on twice in weeks, still to be corrected but can be driven as is, other than that 20 years without any problems 😊

Not the only engine to either have poor quality piston or injectors . Do all cracked piston engines have poorly spraying injectors ?? Results would be telling ..

Hey there, I am looking at a 2007 Toyota Landcruiser PRADO equipped with the 1KD-FTV engine, mated to a 6 speed manual gearbox. I look to be towing my race car to the track a few times every month to my nearest racetrack and another located racetrack 300kilometers from where I am every 6months as well as picking up and dropping of vehicles on a trailer out of town every other month or later. Would this be a good purchase suited to for my needs? This will be my first diesel purchase and I am wanting to get something that'll last me a good while. I've watched a few of your videos discussing the topics on these engines but nothing about the 6 speed manual gearboxes as well as their suitability for certain applications. any help would be much appreciated ! Hey Anthony, back here again and unfortunately, we lost our 120 not long ago, we purchased a 2019 150.... it's had Toyota full service history and warranty... is this model had the remap or is this motor to be concerned about... it has done 230000 hwy kms out Dubbo way.... it's about due for a Toyota service any tips or ideas to ask or demand the Toyota service centre ??? Or sell it 😮

Are 1KDs same as 2KDs? I have a 2KD-FTV 2.5 diesel engine in my 2014 Fortuner, wondering if they are the same with the same potential problem.
