Man, this guy is not only an excellent watch maker, he seems to be a great father. You can hear the love in his children's laughter. Much love to you, good sir.

As a father of two grown sons, the Watchmaker's apprentice's laugh brought back some very good memories. I hope you understand how much goodness your and your boy (along with your talent) give ppl everyday. Much appreciation from 🇨🇦 my friend.

Hi everyone. Yes I installed the hands as they are because you can reset the home position of all the hands electronically which I didn’t do in the video. All the hands can be reset to home position and then synchronised with the digital and analogue display. I just got it working and wanted to finish the video. Hope that helps

You’re son has a great laugh, and when my 4.5 month heard your son laugh, he laughed.

In the early 60's, I was your son, hanging out in my fathers jewelry store while he repaired watches, this brought back many fond memories. Thank You...

What passion and care he takes. Treats each of the watches like they're his children. So good to see this AND learn something as well

You say "...not perfect by any stretch of the imagination..." I beg to differ, you basically did a resto as far as I'm concerned and the watch turned out beautifully afterwards, almost pristine again. So a top-notch job that anyone would be happy with. Kudos!

Never thought I would find someone someone capable of resurrecting the watch ⌚. He does it with patience, dedication, I would venture to say, with love, shown on his tone of voice and the way he address his child. Great job.

The child’s laughter was the cherry on the cake here. Your work is amazing.

Yes...that Skyhawk lives once again and you Sir, have given this piece justice. I don't see how much more perfect it could be. If it was mine, I'd be thrilled to get it back to spec. Kudos.

In a situation where almost anyone else would have seen garbage, you saw something of value that just needed repair. Really makes me think of just how much we needlessly toss out for the sake of convenience. Well done, sir. You've got my subscription.

Joe: The sound of your son's laughter is just beautiful. It brightened my day, and the day was already good. Blessings on you.

I’ve been watching for a a few months now (even though this is a older video) and one of the reasons I continue watching is how you not only interact with your boys but also how your teaching them as well! You do all of it with a great sense of humor and that is fantastic! Great job!!!

You Sir, are a hero to me.
The fact you take so much time to restore a watch to as good as new
is and should be an inspiration to us all.
Thank you for your wonderful videos.

Dear Joe something good came out of Birmingham...you! Just finished watching your 1920’s Omega pocket watch. Like everyone else I am blown away with you, the first person in my 73yrs to show me how to change the oil in my watch...no the first I have ever seen the dissembling and reassembling of a watch. I come from an aviation family and have long wondered how men made gears springs shafts etc for clocks then watches centuries did they do it? They needed gauges jigs cutting milling tools etc. Am very happy to subscribe. May I tell you of a car mechanic who told a surgeon “basically I do the same as you do...I change old parts for new parts.” The surgeon replied “yes, but can you do it with the motor still running? Joe you are a surgeon.

Another masterpiece! 10 STARS! The inclusion of his son is outstanding. After all, how can the son learn if there is no teacher. The transmission process is crucial to a child's healthy development: the family. Many thanks!
