Fish the first 10 seconds of being shot:tis but a scratch

You can see the swim bladder leaking air from the shot. They use it to control vertical buoyancy by squeezing or relaxing the muscles to change the amount of water they displace vs their weight.

It could be a coincidence, but after the shot, the fish starts to slowly sink over time.

Very interesting animals. We have learned a ton by mimicking their solutions to the challenges of being under water.
