Staff members are speaking out about safety and violence issues plaguing York Memorial Collegiate Insitite. Two school employees tell Faiza Amin about the violence that has led to over a dozen teachers going on leave and a work refusal.

Geez! And to think I used to go to this school quite a few years ago. There were issues then but definitely not the way they are now! What a shame!

They need to bring back the strap and corporal punishment, give teachers more power. The students know the teachers cannot touch them or do anything. No respect for anything when there are no consequences for your actions.

I mouthed off to a teacher once, the next thing I knew I was laying on the floor...didn't do that again,
