She's a very talented girl, she needs more recognition. Still underated but she has a place in my heart and ears.

I think the lyrics about selling the car, walking for miles, living live in taxis connects in such a way that it tells about her and the relationship.

Basically the music is about losing your significant other. "And you sold your car", selling is somewhat like throwing away the things that you don't want anymore, in this case the guy broke up with her. Having a car can be seen as a comfort / luxury in life, which on the next line "now you walk for miles and your feet feels numb" can also mean that his life is not comfortable anymore now that she's gone and his heart is not feeling any love (numb). The taxi part "and I hope yoy're happy living life in taxis" can explain how he tries to find new lovers but no one really lasts (only temporarily).
