Seeing the other comments on here I understand where people's points of view are coming from as I feel we needed a combative midfielder with high energy to cover the spaces as teams were playing through our press then playing the diagonal pass over trents head and were In on goal but I think we will be putting crosses in for darwin and looking for the second ball to keep teams pened in we no longer seem to have that quick transition from defense to attack like we used to but last season I felt the same and thought we would only challenge for the league and not win it and instead we was a whisker away from the quadruple so let's put our faith in klopp and try and enjoy the ride

Pre season is about fitness and giving the young ones a chance. We know what our starting team is capable off. It’s a waste not to play the others and try different thinks. I don’t think tag would have got much out of that game playing his starting team for a half then defending for the other half. Pointless

I hope Jota, s injury isn't a sign of things to come bc these boys had a really long season and have had summat like 2 week off and I know they super fit these days but it's got to catch up surely, and this coming season is just madness for all teams, I mean some players will win the world Cup and days later be playing club football. Damn you Klopp damn you to hell. Just buy a bloody midfielder mate and someone with experience. Besides the untested Harvey Elliott..Naby and Thiago are too inconsistent and both are always getting injured. Hendo and Milners legs are gone...and they are hardly the most creative pair. The goals from the mid have disappeared since we lost Phil, Gini and Gerrard. FFS would we have won vs Barca without a goal scoring mid like Gini? We have shipped out Taki, Origi, Mane, Gini yet only brought in Luis Diaz and Nunez. Them two are stil a bit raw and cant be expected to hit the heights of the Manes...Firmino is now injury prone...and his output is diminshing... Players like Ox are as good as not there as he is made of glass....we should have signed two or three more players.
