Composed, and Produced by a then 19-year-old El Debarge. he wrote it for Marvin Gaye. the Executives at Motown lied to El. they told him Marvin didn't like the song...when Marvin was killed in 1984. Marvin's ex-wife told El, Marvin LOVED the song. wished he would have recorded it, and would listen to it day, and night. this is a true R&B, Pop Classic. that has stood the test of time 40 years since El recorded it. Released by Motown as a Single in early 83.
