I know Clint probably won't see this but,

September 6, 2012. I was only 12 years old and had to stay home due to the flu. I was so bored. Browsing YouTube for the new Supernatural expansion I found a review by a man known as LGR. I spent that whole day laughing as I explored this man's content. Every video made me smile and sometimes taught me more computer facts that I never knew. He managed to be one of the few YouTubers who could make me laugh without ever needing to swear or make sexual innuendos. I have watched this man since then. On rainy days in my country side home, playing the Sims 3 while listening to his commentary with hot chocolate and an open fire near my desktop always managed to calm my nerves.

Fast forward to today. An 18 year old going to college for computer science. My life has changed. But Clint still delivers the old LGR charm. I watch him every single day and laugh my butt off

Clint, if you are reading this, thank you. You seriously changed my life. Before your channel, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. Now. I'm dead set on becoming a computer scientist because of your videos. Your content is top tier and that will never ever change. I hope you stay with us for many years. Despite never meeting you or speaking to you, me and many others consider you a friend through your videos. You are a good man with amazing ideas and things to show us. Wether it be a winter night in the countryside with snow oiling up outdoors or a gloomy day here in the city, your content always satisfies.

On behalf of your whole fanbase, thank you. You deserve the world.

"Missing Power Chord... Metallica's not going to be amused."
That made the whole episode!

Time to order nacho's before even watching this. 👍 Thrift videos are special occasions.

If Clint hasn’t heard of a certain brand of electronics by now, you know it’s obscure.

I find it funny that the Sony TV had a sticker that said 'Made in the USA', but the french translation was 'Assembled in the USA'...

you could say that LGR really _brought home the bacon_ with that HAM radio.

Yes a new LGR Thrifts! I wouldn't mind you doing an 8-bit guy style video on cleaning/trying to fix that ham radio setup if your interested, looks interesting.

3:46 Yes that is, it's from some Chinese toy maker called Lepin that makes all kinds of Lego knock-offs, complete with Engrish box text and manuels. In fact, thay make tons of Lego Star Wars rip-offs under names such as Star Wnrs (yes, that's really how it is spelled.), Star Plan, and Star Hero. They recently got sued by Lego a couple years back and haven't made one more ccounterfit Lego set ever since.

Proud you saved the Ham radio gear. there are lots of info online and local Amateur radio clubs who im sure will assist you in getting 'on air'. who knows you might get into the very vintage computer related 'Packet radio', 'Radio teletype' and 'Slow Scan TV' uses that lets you send computer text and graphics over radio waves all around the world

These episodes have definitely been an inspiration to peruse my local thrift stores for retro computing and retro tech goodies. Dunno why it didn’t occur to me before, but I have indeed found some nice gems in my local thrift stores.

Keep up the fantastic content, mate, we appreciate it!

I think I ruptured something when I had a cow because you found a ham station in a thrift store. I have been desperately looking to find such a treasure since I can't afford one otherwise. I really would have come undone if I found that here. I may even be able to fix it, but I don't know if it would be worth the expense to buy it from you and have it shipped, and what if it isn't fixable, you know. But anyway the worst thing you can do to a radio is test it without the correct antenna or dummy load attached. The finals can rapidly overheat and burn out without an antenna to put the power into. It may have glass vacuum tubes that could make it more of a challenge to repair. Thrifts is one my favorite things on your channel because we have similar interests and I freaked a little when I saw that station. Wow!

As someone who does cross stitch, I would've loved that thread box.

LXI was the Sears in-house brand. When I worked there in 1997 they wanted us to sell only LXI. Problem was they didn't pay any commisssion. They were mostly rebadged units from Zenith or RCA.

You're probably my favourite youtuber for thrifting, unlike the 99% of other thrifting youtubers who just go there for boring, cheap, clothes, you look for and find the most interesting shit, like wood paneled...everything, and electronical stuff, and the weirdest games
