Excellent and it looks so easy I know however it takes time and knowledge. Question how much something like that will cost? Thanks I have a wood burning fireplace

Really love the video and explanation. Only critique is handling finished pieces like the glass and trim and maybe the logs with dirty hands vs gloves. Getting finger prints on the inside of glass where you can't clean it would be a major downer.

How would you do it if you did not have a gas connection inside the fireplace opening but you have a gas connection that you can hook to in the attic?

Every few years I search the WWW to see if anybody anywhere has converted a free-standing wood stove (mine is a Jotul) to use a gas insert. The answer is still "no", and no manufacturer has created anything for this purpose. Seems like a development opportunity. I'd buy one.

No offense, but gas fireplaces are like Hollywood props, totally fake and ugly.
