Just wondering why the machine would display only 3 hours of use, when it was on for 7 hours of sleep. What would be the fix to ensure the time of use shown is accurate? Thanks for your help!!

That machine definitely doesn't look like an upgrade from the DS1. I hope the new foam is safe too. I'm still waiting from my replacement from Philips. Have you heard of the 1/3 part white vinegar to water, pour into the water chamber to soak for 20 minutes along with the tubing? I usually clean my chamber and tubing this way and then let them air dry.

I was cleaning the humidifier parts daily using cpap wipes and letting it dry. I've since found I don't prefer any humidification or heat in the tube and have turned those off. As such, I don't use water in the "tray" any more but still wipe the parts down every other day. I wipe and spray the mask parts and tube daily. Takes only a couple of minutes. Question on my tube cleaning technique: I use a spray sanitizer designed for cpap units that I bough from amazon. I hold the ends with one hand and pump 8-9 sprays into each end of the tube, kinda rotating the spray bottle some as I do it. Then, still holding the tube-ends with one hand, I swing the tube in a circle and let the centrifugal force pull the sanitizer toward the middle of the tube. I can see droplets disbursed throughout the tube when I hold it up to the light. Then, I grab the tube, again with one hand, in the middle of the tube, and swing it round and round again, causing much of the liquid sanitizer to leave the tube. I only swing it for a few seconds each time. Lastly, I hang the tube up from the middle and I find it's fully dry by the evening. So, am I "all wet" with this? Is this a bad practice? Doesn't seem to stress the tube much. I've been doing this for about a month and the tube looks brand new. The mfg of the sanitizer states that it will not harm cpap parts and I've never used a brush or the sink, just this method, after one month of using. Again, it looks clean as a whistle but, if these sanitizers aren't what they claim to be, could I be in for trouble later?

I am planning a trip out of the country and am concerned about obtaining distilled water for my Dreamstation 2 machine. Will it hurt the machine if I use regular water or bottled water for two weeks instead of the distilled water?

What about the rubber in the middle between both parts. You never mentioned anything about that part. Is it supposed to go un washed.

So the foam issue is resolved? I was looking to replace my old ResMed machine when the recall started. I had stopped using it because I lost faith in it and it provided no information to me. I want a machine that is OSCAR compatible.

What about CPAP sprays and disinfectants? Could those be ok to use in cleaning?

I have had the upgraded DreamStation 2 since Sept 21 after an equipment switch out. My question is recently my DS 2 has started blinking and saying service required. Cannot find anything in the manual addressing this. I was able to unplug and re plug and it would go thru its cycle giving me my previous nights data and it would go to a solid lit button light. Now that is not the case and it does this flashing ring light and saying service required more often. What experience have you seen on this phenomenon? No error codes or anything. Also I do not use the humidifier since day one so no humidifier to debug and a change filters routinely.

I don’t like this black Phillips apnea machine. Difficult to see at night. Hard to take apart with Arthritis hands. Made very cheap. My last one leaked upon first using it…app defected. Called the co that sent it. Told her something was wrong with th3 water chamber and I needed it replace immed. She said only if I paid for it out of my pocket. Ins only psys for one every six months. Went back to my older black water chamber and is still using it reluctantly.
I want a ResMed. How do I get one if it not until another year. This machine and prob the gear combined is terrible. I have leakage of water, air arounf nose mask. A recall for 14 months and still not helping my high BP and sleep apnea. Loved my Dreamstation 1, but just still getting use to it with the cancer causing info came out and it was recalled. Not using this Dreamstation 2 as it make my thoracic area hurt on breathing. Call Dr and they adjuste$ it from their side to no avail. So disappointed in the machine. Help!

Poor video. Why did you leave out maintenance and cleaning of the tubing and mask? Isn't this a key part of DS 2 maintenance, or do people put their lips around the air output of the DS2 and not use the tubing and mask? I see several comments asking about the tubing and yet you haven't gone to the trouble of updating your video. Second, you were quite concerned about adequately cleaning of the water chamber and small areas that you might miss. Another site said that the chamber is dishwasher safe. Wouldn't that address your concern and be a better approach than what you described? What about after market cleaning products that are sold. Others asked about this Worth it or not? What are good products?
