Creating Mame XML and Genre Databases

Since mame is so freuntly updated, you will need to generate Mame Databases to keep up with new additions. This is how to create those new Databases.

I have a full afterburner cab with a new machine running the game just fine but I'm having insane issues making the lights work correctly. (Red top locked on & white bottom lock on)

I've got the PacDrive LED board hooked up with my bulbs and I can use Led Blinky to test my bulbs are working ect but I have no idea how to incorporate them into the game so the lock on feature works correctly with the LEDs.

I got told to use mame XML full list generator but I've come up empty handed with that, it asked for an root folder you hit "Go" ect it runs some script then closes and nothing changed.

So to be clear as I can I'm running the game on a
Windows 7 32bit
Mame
My PacDrive works when testing with ledblinky

I just need some sort of program installed that tells the led controls what the games doing n how they need to work.

Any guidance at all would be so so appreciated.

I let it run all night and it was still running when I got up in the morning. Could it take that long? I have an i7 with 8 gb and running it as admin as well. Any ideas why it hangs there for me?

Tried it on mame 0.202 and didn’t work I followed your tutorial exactly even used my desktop for the directories but once its done the directory was empty.

Any chance someone could compile a mame 0.202 XML with (no card battle, no gun, no fruit machines, no mature, no mahjong and no casino) since I can’t get Mame XML generator working. I’ve but keeps coming up empty. Thanks.

Followed this video. 3 times. Got the same results. Empty folder. And im no noob. Not even close. Pretty strange. Tried it with the most recent mame. Disnt work. Took 20 minutes to do nothing even though i had genre>choose/working selected. Then i tried again with .186. Because that is the one i use. Empty folder again. Then i tried a third time thinking, maybe i have to scan for roms in mame first so it k ows what i have. Still empty folder. And it even creates a folder inside my directory of choice so i know i have that right. Then it puts nothing in the folder.
