That Rick Jones actually was about to give the distress call to the Fantastic Four before Loki interrupt the call, so he give the distress call to Iron Man, Thor, Ant-Man and the Wasp to stop Loki, after that they along with the Hulk decided to form a Super Hero team, that's how the first group of Individual Heroes have been formed.

This was where the fun began.

When I saw the Avengers for the first time in 2012 and when the epic team-up shot appeared I heard Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury say those words in my mind. It brought a small tear to my eye.
