Depends on the type and severity of migraine. Some affect the eyes, some don't.

My migraine doesn’t show rainbows. It just looks like a clear spiral

I have astigmatism, and for the first 12 years of my life, I low-key thought everyone saw like that until I was diagnosed with it 💀😭

I've had astigmatism since I was a kid. I used to tell others that the "lines/slashes in lights are always so cool when they move." They looked at me like I was crazy. 😭

I remember when I got my first migraine I thought I was randomly going blind, I was so scared because I didn't feel any pain and it didn't exactly feel like blindness but there were just areas of my vision that I couldn't make out for the life of me. Like I'd look at a text and read it but not see it at the same time. It's really weird. Then after 20 minutes of that and absolutely panicking the migraine hit me like a brick and it was the most relieving but painful thing I've ever experienced. I knew what it was and that I wasn't going blind but it hurt bad and went to sleep for a couple hours

those are called ocular migraines. While many people experience them before a migraine attack, they can happen separately from each other, with or without the other.
Astigmatism is very accurate. It sucks to drive at night, with rain without glasses.

That migraine is a type called migraine with aura and the aura is the blotchy spot that acts like a warning sign, in my experiences it starts out as a small dot and expands to a size where I'm unable to see using the peripherals of the eye that it initially affected, sounds really freaky but it ends up going away by the time the pain sets in
