The SEN system faces growing problems. Families applying for an EHCP have an increasingly tough time getting their children the help they are legally entitled to.

Noddy ‘No-nonsense’ Guide 2022, the definitive guide to SEN law - authors, David Wolfe QC, Matrix Chambers, and Leon Glenister, Landmark Chambers, talk to Ali Fiddy, Chief Executive of IPSEA.

The Noddy ‘No-nonsense’ Guide to SEN Law brings together the relevant legal provisions, the codes of practice, Government guidance and case law in England. It is a free public resource to assist all those who deal with Special Educational Needs (SEN) law in England – including judges, legal practitioners, local authorities, and parents. The guide gives SEN families applying for an EHCP access to the same information as Tribunal Judges and Local Authorities.

New in 2022: live links are now included to cases and other primary materials, where they are readily accessible. For the first time the guide has been structured as Q&A, making it easier to navigate. An interactive version of the Guide is now hosted on the Support SEND Kids site, giving readers the chance to comment, ask questions and search more easily. It is hoped this will make it more accessible to a wider audience.
