Olimar isn't a "puppet" character. He uses the pikmin as a weapon/an extension for his stubby moves. Forward air is a good example, if Olimar does forward air, he takes a Pikmin and swings it forward. Vs Rosa Luma, where if Rosa does forward smash, Luma would have their own version of the move

It is not dash attack canceling it is "attack cancelling" you can cancel any grounded attack with a jump but luma still doing the attack, that's why it's strong with rosa

Idk what draws him to them, but Dabuz happens to like maining the most annoying characters in any smash game. Rosalina, olimar, pit, and min-min. If he tried he’d probably like maining bowser jr as well. Maybe even villager. He is fantastic with them tho. Not denying that he’s amazing. Also his pop offs are the best over any player ever.

Playing Rosalina is childs play really. As long as you're ready to be lame you can beat players that are way stronger than you (from experience), so yeah, just a bit more practice and such and boom, more results. Thing is it won't change how lame this character is

I refuse to believe a character that has laggy moves, tall, light to launch and gets their main gimmick taken away so easily to be a good character.
