If you weigh 180 lbs, 180g of ANIMAL protein is a bit excessive. While its high in amino acids responsible for muscle recovery, you're getting diminishing returns after a certain point. Another thing to note is that the specific compound in these amino acids responsible for this recovery is hmb, which can change your insulin sensitivity drastically and lower gains.

More like 40 or 45 grams per meal for someone at 180 lbs because you dont need 1 gram per pound of body weight but rather i believe is 0.7 grams per pound i might be misremembering. Depending on whether your wanting to gain or lose weight depends on which you should focus more on. If you want to lose weight ear more protein than carbs but vise versa if you want to gain weight even if you're maingaining because carbs are good for you on moderation as well as healthy fats. And don't neglect micronutrients or fiber

I only eat two big meals a day with protein shakes/small snacks in between. Is that optimal or should I start eating breakfast
