10:14 the egg will always hatch even if targeted IF it's close to the bridge, if it's close to your princess tower then the last arrow will hit it in time and it won't hatch.

4:57 at that range the tower wouldn't be able to hit the 3rd arrow in time, so the egg would've hatched

An Phoenix that is being attack by only the princess tower revives if it is beyond 4.5 tiles away or something like that. Basically the arrow travel time makes that tiny difference.
