How to Promote Domain Controller to primary in 5 min. Moving FSMO roles.

If you have two Domain Controllers and want to change the primary to a new one. Moving MFSO roles to the new dc. This is how to do it in 5 min. This is working for MS Server 2019, MS Server 2016 & MS Server 2012.

Easier method, user PowerShell:
-Identity "DCHostName" -OperationMasterRole DomainNamingMaster, PDCEmulator, RIDMaster, SchemaMaster, InfrastructureMaster -Force

Will the DNS and everything else be moved during this process? Like, after that if I turn off the old primary (without demoting it, just shutting it down), all the domain members/clients will still working as normal?

The last step was a bit trickier for me. My user had Schema Admin rights but still wouldn't allow it. Even using NTDSUTIL on the server I was promoting I couldn't use it. I had to RDP to the CURRENT Schema Master and do the following:
ntdsutil roles
connections
connect to server <ServerHostnameYourPromoting>
q
transfer schema master

I am in the process of building a new server to run our active directory. I have a total of 5 backup domain controllers throughout at our sites. Can this be done with out disruption or what is the best practice to migrate your primary dc to a new box?

This only works if your primary DC is still online. If its gone or down it will show up as an ERROR cant be found. So then you cant transfer control to this DC to be primary.

i want to ask, if my primady domain ( Server Domain 1 ) is not replicate (but server domain still up) to secondary domain (Server Domain 2), so i want to demote Domain 1 but before i must migrate all Primary Domain Controller from Server Domain 1 to Server Domain 2, what is the video can i watch to learn it ? thanks
