alex, I have to tell you what you’ve done for me.

decided a few months ago that I wanted to learn how to do my makeup (im 27). I had 0 knowledge before, and I was so intimidated. I tried to watch many others channels but I just felt uncomfortable, like I couldn’t connect at all with the creators, they felt really distant. then I found you, and you became my teacher. over the last few months, i’ve watched all your videos and learned so much—about contour, about blending eyeshadow, about dermaplaning! every two weeks when i’ve gotten paid, i’ve taken one of your recommendations and bought myself a product. watching your videos, trying out your tutorials, and filling my once empty makeup bag has become literally one of my favorite pastimes and it makes me feel SO feminine and fun.

last weekend (NYE), I whipped out my makeup bag full of makeup you showed me, armed with all your tips and tricks, i did a full face of glam makeup to go out with my partner. I felt amazing, it came out amazing. I was a glittery little star.

i always felt like heavy water lining and grunge makeup altogether really compliments someone like me who has very low contrast levels between our hair, skin and eye color. it just does something magical and helps me look less...invisible? washed-out? gray? you know what i mean?
