We have it on good authority from a reliable source (with experience of both FreeSync and G-SYNC models) that this monitor works well with Nvidia Adaptive-Sync ('G-SYNC compatible' mode), offering a similar experience to FreeSync. This ties in with our testing of other models, which certainly offer a FreeSync-like experience to Nvidia users via Adaptive-Sync. Models which don't are in the minority, it seems. Unfortunately we had to give our review sample back to LG before Nvidia released their driver with Adaptive-Sync support, so we couldn't test it ourselves.

Your review heavily informed my decision to buy this monitor. I just ordered it this morning. I bought it from Newegg for $796 and I’m really excited to get it. I’m in the process of building my first PC and I think this monitor will be great for me. I’ve been exclusively using iMacs for the last 12 years or so and finally decided to build a PC; mostly for gaming but it’ll be for general use as well. I’m a little worried about moving from a 5K display down to 1440p but I’m sure I’ll get used to it.

Yep, far and away the best review of ANY monitor i've seen, really great job. I'm about to switch from a 4k lg monitor and am trying to decide if i should go with the aw3420dw alienware ultrawide or this one. Also i've never gamed on anything other than an ips monitor and am curious if mabye a va would be better choice with the msi. I largely play mmo's so probably ips. Anyway thanks for the review!

Absolutely amazing review, just waiting for the competitor to finally release it's product soon hopefully (Samsung and it's VA native 144Hz 3440x1440 that gets delays again and again), and I'll make my (painfully expensive) purchase !

time stamps talking about each sections would be nice for these longer videos, it's a but unrealistic for me to skim through an hour long video to find any talk about the supposedly not great input lag. But if you don't because it hurts ad revenue that makes sense too. thanks for the review!

Impressive detail in these reviews! I was looking at upgrading from my old 29” 1080p, but it seems like the 21:9 gear tech is moving along quite rapidly? This monitor now comes with native gsync but the newer 34GP83A makes this look outdated. And it’s been barely two years. Wish I could wait another two years for the tech and prices to settle :) Deciding between this, Alienware and even the newer VA panels for gaming.

Thanks for the video, very deep and informative! I've just ordered my pc with super rtx 2070 so I'll be about possibly 90 to 140fps, choosing between this LG and dell AW3418DW as the price is 660€ for 3420dw it's 1000€ and for this LG it's 950€, I've red all the comments and you've mentioned somehow better picture quality and Hz over LG. I'm all about experience and image quality more then anything ( gaming, production and media, video editing, movies ) + I have mine LG OLED C9 which is my go option if I need the best image quality. Can you please tell me how much better is the image quality overall vs this LG ? Because it's kinda hard to judge for me if it's 5% or 10%, HDR is kinda thing I don't need at all. But 44hz + let's say noticeably more popping colours would sell me over, still can't decide . Thanks a lot, I'll spread a word about your channel 🙏

Good stuff! I bought this one and its my first ips so... I like it a lot, but!.. I have bleeding in all four corners, i think.. 😎 Yellowish tint glow.. It shows especially in dark games like resident evil 2. Ive pulled back alot on the backlight to get it better but not gone. Is this normal or did I get a bad sample? What backlight value are you on to get rid of this glow or bleeding..?
