I think this personally hurts me alot as I have grown this amazing community through the pandemic and seen how much this feature benefits players. I feel as though this change heavily effects the community I have grown here and that hurts me. I wish you all the best for anyone who is deciding to quit after this and love you all.

This will kill in person raiding too. I’ve had many raids in the past where I NEED remote raiders to join to take on certain legendaries. I truly don’t understand how Niantic thinks this will work out well for them.

Remote Raids brought me back to the game. I'm older and I work 50-60 hrs per week plus have family obligations. I had next to no Legendary's and miss most events because of work. Remote Raids actually allowed me to enjoy a segment of the game that was previously walled off to me and allowed me to play the game on my schedule not Niantics. My biggest concern with the nerf is that remote raids will be harder to get into or you wont be able to find enough players to help out so I'm pretty much back where I started. I get it hardcores hate them but I will never be a hardcore players and catching Diglett over and over is just not gonna keep me playing.

Remote raids literally saved their game during covid and helped so many people out and let rural players like me play. They will lose so much money from this and honestly after approving this change they 100% deserve it. I am honestly probably quitting since they clearly don’t care about rural players anymore since we are basically unable to play the game. Welp it was a good run. Hope you all have a great day

Thank you for showing your genuine disappointment. It really hurts to see other poketubers simply shrug this off either because of their relationship with their Niantic or their wealth allowing them access to the more expensive remote raids. I am autistic and find it very difficult to interact with people. Remote raids have given me an avenue to connect with people online in a less intense way than if I had to interact with strangers. It is actually a bit distressing because it feels like this thing that was once a special part of my life is dying and all I can do is stand by and watch. I struggle to pay my bills as is so this remote raid price increase is the final nail in the coffin for me. I really wish Niantic would reconsider but it feels like they honestly do not care.

I think this hurts the most people who can't find anyone raiding nearby. It makes it almost impossible to raid legendaries or megas.

Remote raids helped me grow my inventory so much. They shouldn't take the COVID benefits. It grew their players so much. Thank you Remote Raids.

I just want to remind everyone, we did get niantic to undo the nerf for distance you need to be to spinnstops/ access gyms. If enough big poketubers and the community let niantic know how much this hurts they may pull the change back.

The unfortunate thing is that even for people like myself, a person who lives at a uni campus with tons of stops and gyms, we CAN'T always guarantee that there will be players around that actually hop into the raids to help. Having to communicate with multiple people to meet up for raids and etc. is hard enough...

Big poketubers like you need to speak out and tell niantic to roll it back you have a way bigger voice in this than the rest of us.

As many people as possible should give 1-star reviews on the app once the change goes live. That might get Niantic’s attention.

There are so many solo players that do not have the time to go out all the time for raiding due to work/family or whatever. Raids in local gyms are never busy enough to fight legendaries, so for solo players this is kinda the end of raiding

As a mom of a two-year-old I'm pretty sad about the change. Remote Raiding has been helping me so much with participating in the game. Can't really do local raids all the time with a fussy baby/toddler. 😅

Remote raids are really the only way I can raid legendaries. I live in a rural area that has extreme temperatures and personally I don’t feel safe raiding in person by myself. This will take so much joy out of the game for me.

Man I am a thousand miles away from my family, remote raids were the only way to play with them. I remember trying to get shiny rayquaza with one of my sisters and she got it in the last raid we could do, sadly it seems that I wont have any more memories like that. Not talking about that doing in-person legendary (dont even wanna mention primal etc) raids is near impossible when you dont live in a big city, I am lucky if one person joins to the raid, I put all my resources to raid pokemons cant even have fun in pvp because of this, and of course still cant beat a legendary even with two of my friends. So if I want legendaries it will cost 200 coins (and the catch is not 100%) from now on. Why does Niantic try to kill the game every once in a while? lol

I live in rural Newfoundland and had to travel an hour to Gander to participate in raid hour, or even spin a stop. Remote raids has drastically improved my enjoyment of the game and now these changes further isolate us from the Pokemon Community.

Im happy that there are Poketubers like you who actually criticize the game and call out these awful changes. Really hope this hurts their wallets in the long run

Sad to see this happen, even in big cities it can be hard to coordinate raids with friends and remotes have been super helpful to myself and my friends in getting some great raid bosses

If the community takes a stand against this decision (which we should) Niantic will have to take notice and do something about it.
Bare in mind the playerbase is their income, if the playerbase stops funding them they'll start paying attention.

Massive Niantic L. No other way to see it.

On a more positive note, this video is a great example of why Dax remains my main go to when it comes to YouTube PoGo content. Level headed, straightforward, and speaks with the perspective of a real player. It's refreshing, and it's a big difference from some other content creators that are in Niantic's pockets.
