The Auto Turret & Setup Guide | Rust Tutorial

Показать описание
In this video, we’ll cover the Auto Turret along with its acquisition, placement, modes, attachments, range, durability, and setup. The auto turret has seen a lot of change over the past few years, considering you now need to include your own gun along with power. However, these options open the turret up to being even deadlier than before, so make sure to pick the right gun and turret placement depending on your situation.

Rust devs should hire you for making such clean tutorials that could almost be recognized as something official.

Turrets consume 10 power and can't be chained like ceiling lights. This means that a small battery can only power 1, medium can power 4 (electrical branches consume 1 unit), and large can power 9. You could also do a batteryless setup (remember, batteries destroy 20% of incoming electricity, so 100 unit input becomes 80 units output) where you have 2-4 wind turbines combined into a single line, and they would provide around 240 units of electricity; you can then connect this to electrical branches and the branches to the turrets; the remaining electricity at the end can be used to power ceiling lights and electrical heaters (remember, if you are in a desert, connect the line to a blocker [which is connected to a solar panel] before going into the heaters, this will ensure that the heaters only turn on if the solar panel outputs 0 units, aka at night). Also, I usually use 2 solar panels for each turret instead of one, because 1 usually can't sustain a turret 24/7, especially if your base blocks its line of sight to the sun. The main advantage of pythons is that they are cheap, but you should know that turrets literally have aimbot, so any automatic weapon lying around (there are usually a few thompsons and customs in the gun box that nobody uses) is great for turrets. Attachments don't do anything, except the flashlight. Turrets shouldn't be place outside at all, because it makes you an asshole to shoot random naked; and those random naked can use a compound bow to break your turrets easily. Either place them behind doors with heartbeat sensor, or on your roof if you have a skirt that protects them. If you place them inside your compound, place them near the wall looking towards your base, and not near your base looking outwards. They can also be placed indoors to protect jump-ups (it takes an incredibly long time to clear them, because raiders only have a split second to shoot an incind or hv at them, and they will die with each attempt).

Jfarr, you are by far and away the best Rust YouTuber. - Your concise, well scripted, edited and informative content is amazing. You have taught me how to play this game, I met my wife on a server last year, but I wouldn't have done that if you hadn't taught me the monuments, electrics, farming and more. Thank you so much, truly you deserve more subscribers. I now point every player I meet to watch your videos if they need to learn a particular aspect of rust.

Hey Jfarr, I'm sure this might be difficult or impossible, but do you think you could make a video about trying to figure out if a base is worth raiding or not? Since it would be a good way to find bases and not waste so much sulfer
