I think its also used because its not going to be able to be baited easily. A auto gun can easily be baited and waste its ammo quickly.

SMG is sooo bad in auto turrets for defense but are a great way to "warn" people. They take some hits but even a naked can tank a few without dying.

This way you aren't griefing everyone who walks past your base but let's them know you aren't messing around.

M39 rifle turret is by far my favourite.

Glock is also a decent turret weapon because it has a very short delay between bursts so its shoots like an smg and does 11.2 damage so its basically the same dps as a python but just low damage high rpm.
The one downside is that it consumes a lot of ammo but if you dont have a python or you are low on pipes it works pretty well even tho glock is kinda rare

I don't know where these percentages and modifiers for these guns come from. 80% for bolt, but 35% for python?

The Mk14 and minigun are both great in turrets.

I refuse to call it an M39, since the real-world M39 is my favourite revolver cannon.
