⌖ The Best Free to Play MMORPGs Going Into 2020...

⌖ We're nearing the end of the year. As such, I feel it's time to do a final list of the best free to play MMORPGs of 2019, going into 2020.
There's no doubt in my mind that the vast majority of you will have either played through at one point or at the very least heard of most of these titles, but I implore you to nevertheless give these games a chance.
Or give the players that haven't tried these out the opportunity to see whether or not the games are worth playing in their opinion.
Repeatedly spamming "that game sucks" and being toxic in the comments only discourages potential players from playing anything - and that is part of why the MMO scene is drying up.
Most the communities left are so toxic that they drive people away. So instead, and I know this'll be difficult for some of you, but let's encourage one another to find something that looks fun to them - and subsequently try it out.
Note that these will be free to play MMORPGs only. No pay to play games like Final Fantasy XIV or buy to play games like The Elder Scrolls Online.

So happy to see SWL mentioned. One of the best MMOs of all time with excellent questing.

A couple I'd add:
-Neocron Evolution. One of the deepest (though very grindy) MMO experiences you'll find, and it plays somewhere between Morrowind and Deus Ex. Classic cyberpunk stuff.
-Dead frontier 2. It's been getting big updates as of late, and the dev is currently actively working on switching it from instanced city blocks with fully randomized buildings serving as "dungeons", to a full-fledged open world. If you want Resident Evil as an MMO, it's the one.

FlyFF IS literally the second MMO I've ever played in my life back in 2007 after Maplestory.
This game is such a nostalgia, yet unfortunately so outdated :(

I'm surprised Granado Espada is back on the list. I remember playing it when it was first out and there was such a small player base and didn't manage to go far.

The game in his intro/outro is project bbq, looks really sick and omg I would buy it and play the heck out of it depending if the lore and story is good, the gameplay looks frickin sweet, it is anticipated to either release in late 2020 or early 2021.

Kritika reboot was one of the few mmos i could get into in last few years after playing mostly elsword, and flyff was my first mmorpg ever, i still play it at least once a year on private servers, 1-shotting people with asal in pvp never gets old.We really need more devs like ALLM.

I swear you forgot maplestory. Itss still going being updated constantly and bring a whole new lvl of play for ftp. You can be cash itemed out as long as you lvl a character up. Maplestory really stood the test of time. I came back and im hooked

I played Atlantica Online way back when it was still under NDoors. It was the best game I have ever played still to this day. Gameplay was great, community was awesome. Population however started plummeting down when the game was turned over to Nexon because they turned the game into a cashgrab. Mounts, wings, and fashion had stats in Atlantica, and majority of these fashion items have a rare version that has higher stats. So you would see hardcore P2W players spend an insane amount of $$$ on the random boxes for these rare fashion. And the prices for the surplus fashion in the auction never drop down so the gap between newbies and long time players were far too big, which eventually killed the game.

I was part of the PSO2 Closed Beta group and I've gotta tell you, this game is insane. I feel like A LOT of people will be playing it NA.
