My silly son once bought one of those toilet bowl lights for my toilet. When you sit down, it lights up in different colors, continually changing colors. Pretty psychedelic. 😂

I work in occupational therapy. The long handled sponges can also be used to safely reach your feet to wash & wrap a towel around it for drying feet. In a pinch a plastic bag will help someone slide on a car seat. It doesn't work as good as the swivel disc. I like the swivel disc's that can lock into place for safety. The sockaid is great for socks. Use a little baby powder if it sticks. Sock aids also help with TED hose/compression hose. Thanks! Great video!

Oh, Pam, I purchased the toilet bowl light for my husband's Christmas stocking. It was meant to be a gag gift, but we both absolutely love it. No more flipping on the bathroom light in the middle of the night, and the different colors make it fun.

My mom had trouble getting off the toilet. I found handles that go behind the toilet (sorta looks like a backwards walker). It allows that push up motion, like you mentioned for your truck. Pulling from the front was the wrong angle. This has offered her more independence and privacy. 😊

Ive painted on/off buttons on radios, tv remotes with nail polish when everything is the same color/size. I use elastic shoe laces in my sneakers; they are great for making any shoe a slip on or if you get swollen feet. I also use household hand carts to move things around inside the house and nursery size wagons and red flyer wagons outside. They really help avoid aggravating the back.

Another thing that's useful is a long handle shoe horn. My husband uses one and loves it. It was cheaper than slip on shoes that he hated.

Night lights are a great idea for everyone. Several of the older people in my life have taken tumbles in the middle of the night, one with tragic consequences, and I cant help but think nightlights may have prevented those accidents.

I bought my mom the swivel seat and car cane (you showed in the last video) and they've been a HUGE help! No one has to lift her legs in, or her out of the car.

My grandfather used nail polish to fill in the measurement stamps on his wrenches and other tools so it was easier to read 3/4 or whatever. He also used bright lipstick to make a mark on a door when setting a lock. When you put a deadbolt in a door you put lipstick on the bolt then you know where to drill the hole for the bolt. He also put holes in a can lid around the rim so the paint dripped into the can and didn't get stuck in the rim where the lid seals. He taught me how to work on cars back in the 80's. Those were the days. My grandmother put pins on the bed sheet so she knew which way the sheets go. It saves time.

Ms. Pam, I have learned so much since I started watching your videos. That can opener was a dud for me. I've got that opener that attaches to the can but a different brand (needs a new battery, but I can get it open - "gettin old ain't for sisses", 75 in a couple of weeks; live alone).. Love that timer. I've also painted my house key with nail polish; makes it so much easier to find it (after 5 surgeries on my left eye, I have difficulty seeing). Thank you so much for all your wonderful and valuable videos; take care.

I have those nightlights all over my house. I also have an old dog going bling and it helps her navigate when we’re heading off to bed.

I fell down last year due to my diabetic neuropathy. My kids wanted me to be able to call them in emergencies. I bought a soft eyeglass case and hang my phone around my neck. Works great.

My sister was an amputee and also had bad shoulders and neck. She had all kinds of gadgets but I can't remember all of them. You might search for gadgets to help people with disabilities. You can't imagine all the cool things. So glad you brought this subject up. Maybe garden gadgets, , , I may be needing these very soon. I can hear the old gray mare song in the background over here...LOL
