This is still the most impactful and sad scene in FFX... even more than Tidus's death.

Auron was like a father figure to Tidus and made sure he met his true dad to set things right between them. He also was a true bro, literally giving his life for his buddies.

I still don't understand why they couldn't have started the FMV here. He helped us throughout the game and then gets sent right before the FMV actually starts. I even solo'd the final boss with Auron!

Rumor has it is that tidus was supposed to be the unsent originally. They scrapped that and went to auron because the sixth sense being released around it's later stages of development
