So… we got another Aston Martin. This car has been lost for many years and it has been totally destroyed by nature. But let’s see what we can do with it!

Please support the builds over on my patreon!

It’s a massive undertaking but it has to live on as a complete car I will look forward to watching the journey in the coming episodes 👍

Thought my ‘68 DB6 was in a bad way when I bought it, but now I realise I got off lightly !
Would make a great restomod, with say an LS power plant and Tremec manual gearbox.

Hi there. I have just discovered your channel. My what a dilemma you have with this car ! Having listened to your thoughts, and read some of the replies to your video, the only next move can be to find out what happened to the original engine and gearbox, because on the slim possibility that these items could be reunited, it would be a game changer on all levels. This has to be the first move. To check this out I would first contact AM. They may have some interesting and valuable information. I may then speak to AM specialists if required, but do nothing to it until then. Make the wrong decision now and you may live to regret it, big time ! Best of luck with this, Best regards, Andrew.

Perfect restomod candidate.
Fit a Late v8 vantage engine and box, fab a new front subframe, clean up the bodywork, nitron shocks and a decent set of brakes.
I’ll have mine in DBR9 green over tan alcantara please

Without the engine & box I agree it isn't worth restoring to original, however a restomod with modern LS type engine with fibreglass or whatever DBS front could be good, Id keep it looking like a DBS . I am restoring my DB4 series 5 Vantage and its way more difficult than of my previous restorations - MK2, MK7, XJ6 S1 Jag, Jowett Jupiter, Lotus 31, Mallock MK6, Alfa Romeo 1750 GTV, Austin Atlantic etc good luck .

Hope you secure the funds to progress this build. Your idea of tubular front end with a different face and engine would make a refreshing change from the classic restoration approach.

I had to subscribe once I saw this car. I have done something similar, but with much less expensive MGBs.

Take what you want from it and ditch the rest would be my advice. Far from being one of the cheapest DBS sold in the last decade this looks like one of the most expensive - at least it will be if you try to restore it! If you do want to try then a Jaguar AJ16 engine is perfect. One of the DBS Chums has done three - including mine.

Thanks for the great video I would take your time with this car and it may become clear, just do a bit here and there up from the ashes

The first one was a couple of patches on the wing bottoms and make new inner wing splash guards one of the bosses did the welding I made the splash guards a painter stripped it to bare metal a big mistake as the primer filler was so thick it needed gallons of the stuff to get it back in shape, I was told the car shipped to Japan .
