If Labor deliver budget surplus it will be a “remarkable achievement”

Sky News host Cory Bernardi says if there is a budget surplus this year or next it would be a “remarkable achievement” given the inability of any government to deliver one for the last 15 years.

“If it does happen … it's more through the good fortune of circumstance than good financial management,” Mr Bernardi said.

“With spending way too high to be sustainable, a surplus merely suggests that our taxes are also way too high to build a prosperous and productive nation.”

Cory, There is nothing remarkable about a budget surplus, just as the Norwegians. Norway has built up over one trillion dollars in sovereign wealth funds, while Australian political parties have built up over one trillion dollars a debt.

Lol that's a very, very generous statement, Cory! You're dishing out an incredible amount of goodwill and optimism. Remind me when the ALP last delivered an actual surplus? The Coalition too, for that matter. Its all well and good to say "hey, I spent a bit less this financial year compared to the last financial year" when the truth is, that behind the curtain is an absolute ocean of debt, with interest piling up.

If we start down the path of home grown babies instead of importing babies, we'll need to turn the tap a little slower with immigration and maybe bring back labors baby bonus
( which saw a lot of babies with the 5k bonus ) but dial up the baby bonus to 50k as a home deposit for first home buyers and 20k for housing builder investors.

in australia investors tend to buy up the current stock of houses and then dumping them on the rent market
but
opening up new land sites
and building more houses and caravan parks that are starting to become like a 4 star hotel in nature
we could tilt the decline into an incline in home grown growth which will tilt down the inflation.
