How to Remove a Bathroom Sink Pop Up Stopper

I'm 74 years old -- have always wondered how I could pull that sucker out of the sink. Today I had a real need to figure it out - took a chance on YouTube and found your video. It took me all of five minutes to get that sucker unhooked after watching. Gads, all of those years.

So straight forward, I fixed the sink easy peasy! I have had so many problems with this dang sink, and I removed the most vomitous wad of hair/mold/goo, plunged the rest, and my sink is running nicely again. Thanks so much for your clear and concise directions!

IF YOU'RE STRUGGLING TO FIT THE ROD BACK INTO THE STOPPER: hold the drain stopper in one hand and the rod in the other. You'll be able to feel when the rod is hitting the stopper, so just move the stopper up and down until you feel the rod go in. Hope this helps someone else who had a moment of panic because they're also not handy like me 😂

this helped tremendously. been fightin with a stopping sink for months. ive found that no chemical that states it unclogs hair or other items does. if it would, it would eat the seals and pvc plumbing as well haha. ive never had to replace or install one of these and looked at it last night and realized i needed just this kind of visual instruction.

Couldn't get my stopper out and was getting frustrated. Previous home had a hook one. This home evidently had the newer version with a circle. After watching your video, it was less than 5 minutes by the time it was back together after cleaning out the yuck! Thank you so much. Great instructions!
