What does it take to hang up an airplane? Time, patience, and, if you’re lucky, some clever staff members. Watch as we hang our Hispano HA-1112 Buchón, a license-built version of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 that was built in Spain after World War II. With only 92 hours of flying time, the EAA Aviation Museum’s Buchón saw most of its “combat” in the classic 1969 film, Battle of Britain, considered by many to be one of the finest aviation films of all time.

My generations needs to see more war birds in the air not hanging in a museum like a model. Yes I do agree some airframes are to messed up to be flown, but only 92 flying hours? Oil in it could still be fresh.
