Supporters of the Gender Reform Bill and those who oppose it argued outside of Holyrood after the Bill had been passed

As MSPs voted by 86 votes to 39 in favour of the Gender Recognition Reform (Scotland) Bill, shouts of “shame on you” could be heard from the public gallery.

But there was also applause from supporters of the reforms – which will remove the need for a medical diagnosis of gender dysphoria before obtaining of a gender recognition certificate (GRC).

The changes will also drop the minimum age for applying for such a certificate from 18 to 16, and bring down the time a person is required to live in their acquired gender.

Opponents of the Bill have said it could endanger women and girls and put single-sex spaces at risk, something the Scottish Government has repeatedly denied.

Thank you Mr Ross and Tory members who stood up for the women of Scotland we watched you trying to get the bill halted for more discussion as this bill has no safety included in it for women and girls watching the debate for hours to make sure I understood the essence of the bill. I am disgusted with every female who who never challenged this to have more safe guards for women in place instead it has been pushed through and discussed more than other problems in z Scotland. To add to their list of failures Sturgeon and her minions have destroyed Women’s rights in Scotland, destroyed Scotland, try’s desperately to Destroy
Democracy. Every women in Scotland should be protesting about this bill before it’s too late.

Englishman here... i can't be arsed trying to help anymore... i respect that people are built differently but i genuinely thing that most of these kids at 16 don't have a clue what they are doing.. i know i didn't anyway.. i will look at it this way... Keep these people out of the gene pool. Not many will procreate.. we can take alot of good from that.

Sorry if this is common knowledge, but who pays for the procedures and therapies involved. If it falls to the NHS then maybe that’s another nail in it’s coffin. If it is private, where is the money coming from and when did everybody become this affluent. I know parents will do anything for their children, but this won’t come cheap?
