Video essay on the many horrors in Todd Haynes‘ environmentally-conscious movie which functions as a truly terrifying feminist genre film.

Note:
The use of the term mise-en-scène may be misleading here. I refer specifically to the *framing* of potentially “contaminated spaces”: apartments, doctor's offices, cars etc., preferrably in wide shots.
Mise-en-scène can be a very general term for the “direction of a scene”.
