Step-by-step guide to connect Sound Bar to Android TV Via HDMI ARC

This is how to connect your sound bar to your Android TV so you don't have to cycle through 2 remotes to control your TV and Sound Bar.
When you switch on the TV, Sound Bar switches on, and switches off when you turn off your TV.
Same process for any other smart tv or non-smart tv.

After wrecking my brain for a while...your video reminded me that HDMI ports each have a specific function. I hadn't been using the HDMI ARC port, that's why the sound wasn't coming out 😆. THANK YOU!

If this still doesn't work, make sure you unplug all other HDMI inputs to the TV, then turn on the TV. Bravia Sync should automatically detect the soundbar and then you can connect the other inputs. For example, I had an Xbox and the Set top box connected and there was no audio through the soundbar. Bravia Sync wouldn't detect any connection to the HDMI 3 ARC. But right after I disconnected the other peripherals, it worked

I have the new Sony Smart TV X800 for my daughter’s bedroom. I got her the new Bose Soundbar. I connected the HDMI from the Soundbar to the TV’s HDMI ARC. The problem I’m having is all her remotes, Roku, Bose, TV not only increases/decreases the Soundbar volume, but also the TV. Is it possible to deactivate the TV’s speakers and if so, how?
