Using E-Drums on Tour | Ihan's Story | Thomann

Most of the drummers prefer acoustic over e-drums when playing live or practicing! Yet taking an electronic drum kit with you on stage while touring has many advantages - especially when it comes to creativing different sounds or working with samples / backing tracks. In this episode, Ihan talks about her first time, playing with e-drums during her tour and her impressions.

I'd be very curious to see a video about this kit. Unboxing, setup, sounds, materials etc. Thank you for making this video, it was fun to watch.

Hi, Luv your video. I also have bought a Roland drum set. The 506 two years ago, the baby brother to yours. It has never let me down. It does everything my acoustic kit does and more.
When you think how many Instruments are inside this kid you could never carry that. And yes I would love to see more of your Roland drum videos please. Thanks for sharing. 👍🏾

I play a very old e kit, it sounds pretty bad but it’s still fun to practice and play on, I wouldn’t try to gig with it but it’s fun to jam on.

Nice to see a pro drummer using edrums. I play edrums only, very flexible, nice sounds, it never disappoints, perfect for learners. Playing ACDC at full power and not being kicked out of the house is an asset 😅

I'm a drummer of many years and when I woke up this morning the first thing I thought about was music. Drums is the musical instrument I play and the avenue in which I can participate in the enterprise of music making. I do think about drums but as a solitude endeavour to improve oneself but generally speaking it's music that got me into playing anything at all and for me wanting to play and contribute at all also. Nice video and upload, the girl talented but the video produced commercially and doesn't discuss music at all, just self driven motivations. I'm going to give this girl the benifit of the doubt and say this video and it's focuses are by design of a marketing team. The clear attempt to connect with young and Nieve starting musicians by appealing to a sense of self glorification via sequences of a comfortable lifestyle and internet notoriety is to paint a picture of a musical instrument being your pathway to being exceptional or unique. the more honest video would show the lonely hours on practice pads and in practice rooms and then culminating in a big gig but after which noone recognising you as the preforming drummer after. Thats my story anyway and not one I resent. it's the truer story of musicians in it for the music out right. If you disagree, go to any jazz festival anywhere in the world and tell me the drummer on a big stage wasn't an exemplary example of great and practiced musicianship and when not flanked by adoring fans after wasn't worthy of any positive attention! Musicians do it for the music and not the self. My name is on this comment but it's not my name that I care about when sharing this view here. I want to encourage any and all musicians of any and all levels to enjoy being part of music at all and enjoy creating it. Be your audience . My greatest luxury playing with some incredible musicians was being in the best seat in the house while playing what I wanted to hear behind their music if played by another drummer. Thats my privilege and not any self glorifying video project or otherwise. Wake up tomorrow and the first thing you ought think of is musical and not just the instrument you play ok!? Drumming isn't like basket ball, a specific and singular motivated activity. Drumming is yet another musical venture and is dependent on all the other instruments composed and written into a certain song or tune. Be you while sharing you with others and not only looking after you and your image exclusively

Love Ihan’s drumming. Always so powerful and full of energy.
Roland are my favourite brand when it comes to eDrums. I was lucky enough to play a little on the predecessor to this kit, (506VAD I think) and it was awesome.
I love playing acoustic drums, but there are soo many things you can do with eDrums now, (and the sounds can be tailored to your liking as can the dynamics etc.)

I’d definitely like to see more of your experiences with eDrums Ihan.

🤘🥰🥁
