Yup I hear the difference and it’s a BIG one. The TLM sounds like the radio bro. While the Akg sounds like home studio. If I’d just listened to the AKG I would’ve had no problem at all enjoying this. Both mic are great for there price. Now I’m reconsidering my C214 which I purchased because of your review.

Neumann is more transparent and open sounding. However the 80 dollar mic did not sound terrible. But your awesome voice helped out a lot.

The AKG has a crispy and clean sound But the neumann has a crispy, clean, bright And warm sound

an $800 dollar micrphone will provide an easier situation to get a better sound with less effort. it can still be done with an akg p120. but the work will be more difficult and it will involve some careful handling of frequencies and compression that would be easier on the neuman.

Expensive mics always have internal processors to tame harsh letters like (t), (s), (sh), (k), (h) 😊 they also create good sound waves

But I wouldn't say that one sound is better than the other. (At least with my AKG Studio Headphones)

What is the model of the Akg ? On my cell phone the 80 dollar mic sounds better. Seems more dimensional.

I own both of these microphones I have made great songs with both of them I recommend the tlm 102 for artists with a lot of experience

The 80$ AKG sounds impressive for its price, yet there is a BIG difference hearable with the Neumann. Even hearable on phone speakers.
Still I would say that the AKG seems to be a great fit for beginners or people on a low budget

I woefully listened to this through the tiny speakers of an iPhone. I didn’t expect to hear any difference at all, but when I heard the second and more expensive mic, I was blown away. That one sounded much better.
