The cats always eat first. Their litter boxes are cleaner than my bathtub. When I'm on the phone, if any of my cats approach I interrupt the conversation so the cat(s) can say "hi" to whoever I'm speaking with. This includes calls from salespeople.
Finally, I have more grooming tools for my cats than I do for myself.
