Tesla Model S P85D vs Porsche 911 Turbo S vs Lamborghini Aventador race

Ferrari and Lamborghini already had their go against my Tesla P85D. Now let's see how a really fast Porsche fares against it.

The Tesla seems to launch way faster than most exotics when they aren't using launch control. Nobody seems to want to use launch control, because it damages the clutch pretty badly. But I'm still curious to see whether a launch-controlled exotic car can beat the P85D at the jump.

So my next video would be of a rematch race between my Tesla against my Lamborghini Aventador (with launch control activated). For science!

Something doesn't quite make sense here: The Tesla was ahead for the first 9 seconds of the race, yet you claimed that the Porsche was quicker to 60. Both cars can reach 60 around the 3 second mark give or take a fraction. By the time the Porsche had overtaken the Tesla, both cars would have been traveling at well over 80mph.  Clearly the Tesla was ahead on 0-60, and the Porsche won at 0-100 and 1/4 miles? Yes?

Why are you not letting them race you in LAUNCH/THRUST MODE? Let's see it once just so we can see the difference. I'm guess they will BOTH beat the Tesla. These races are misleading!

Yes! I think its kind of funny because the Tesla doesn't look like an insanely fast car because I mean look at it, its a 4 door sedan, I don't think anyone would expect it to be able to have that kind of power.... absolutely awesome. Great video Allen!

Straight line acceleration is impressive. Let's see this same race on a proper circuit. Even against a cayman. Post that video. If it wins I'll be very impressed.

I dislike Porsche for not making the 911 turbo do 215mph. That race with the Aventador was very nice

This just goes to show how good the porsche PDK is, every shift it stayed alive until the longer gears

Awesome video, even if the result is similar to others (Tesla blows them all away off the line but loses out at the top-end).

What's amazing is this is a 4-door, 5-passenger grand touring sedan with a comfortable ride and huge cargo space blowing away dedicated 2-door sports cars that cannot store more than a shopping bag!  And let's not forget about the Tesla's 1000lb weight handicap either.

Allen, when are you going to give the P85D to your mom?  PS: we want you to re-shoot all your videos when the update comes through...rumours are circulating on TMC that the P85D test mules are pulling 2.7 0-60's...I wonder what will make it to production?

Would love to see that against the P85D and the current 911 Turbo S.

I've seen a regular 911 turbo, 2015, on launch control, destroy a P90, which is only a few tenths slower than a P100.
